OFF TO THE RACES

Homer thinks he is a greyhound, albeit a very shortlegged one.  My house is laid out so that you can go from room to room in a big circle - much to Homer's delight.  Every night, just about supper, he begins his laps.  Schnapps immediately joins in and Reese keeps up as long as she can.  Homer runs full tilt across the living room, does a hard right turn into the kitchen, the bathroom, the bedroom, then a power slide on the hard wood floors into the living room, and then starts all over again.  He doubles back on Schnapps, just to confuse him, darting between his legs and under his belly headed the other way.  If Schnapps get close, Homer aborts the slide and goes straight ahead under the bed.  Then turns and teases Schnapps, just out of his reach.  As Schnapps struggles to get his body under there, too,  Homer darts out the other side and continues his racing.
