Reese continues to amaze me. Not only is she growing at an amazing rate, but her athletic prowess is increasing by leaps and bounds. I watched her the back yard yesterday running with Barley and RJ - she keeps up with no trouble at all. I also noticed that she is very close to being able to get up on the bed - much to RJ's dismay. That was his hiding spot when he got sick of playing - not going to be safe much longer. I can remember when she arrived and getting on the couch was a challenge, just a few short weeks ago. Now one of her favorite tricks is to stand on the back of the couch and leap off, which makes me wince, but appears to be good fun to her.
For quite a while I have looked at her and no longer saw the Beagle as the dominate breed. There may be Beagle in her, but she is definitely a bigger hound. Looking at the internet yesterday, I have decided she looks much more like a Red Bone Coon Hound. She has that beautiful red, gold color and long body. She is going to be a stunning dog. The one thing she seems to lack is the loud, loud hound voice, and she is not a barker. Having a Beagle with a mouth you can hear in the next county, I can't tell you how grateful I am for that!
