BRYLIE MEETS THE BUNNIES
Beautiful
morning at 4:45, when the little people and I arise. I holler "Potty"
and everyone heads for the back door. Once outside, I realize it is
quite mild, so I go back in and grab Brylie for her maiden voyage into
the big world. I set her down, just in time to see a small fuzzy
creature go flying by, one of the rabbits has gotten out. Then RJ,my blind Beagle,
starts to bugle at the top of his lungs, to the absolute delight of my
neighbors, I am sure. Brylie is momentarily stunned by this level of
activity, but soon decides that all this running around by the other 6
little people looks like her kind of fun. She starts to join in the
festivities, when the rabbit, dashing away from RJ, comes straight
towards her and leaps over her. This sets her back for a
minute. But, this playing is too much to resist. I am trying to
catch RJ, while keeping an eye on Brylie so she doesn't suddenly freak
at something, while the other 5 are milling around my feet deciding I
have invented some new game. RJ can't see the rabbit, he is working by
scent alone, which gives the rabbit a chance to stop for a breather. It
also gives me a chance to grab the rabbit and put it back in its cage.
RJ is still baying away, tracking around the yard. I swoop up Brylie,
call the little people and we all go back in the house, leaving RJ out
till he gets bored. I certainly hope Brylie doesn't expect this level of entertainment every morning!
