UPDATES ON TROY & DAVENPORT
I HAVE BEEN SO REMISS ABOUT POSTING TO MY BLOG!
Promise I'll do better.
Julie asks me to take more recent photos of Davenport (Davey). I do, and they look just like the previous ones. And I guess that is Davey's story. He doesn't change. He is as good today as he was the day he arrived. That is one of the advantages of a senior dog - they have learned it all - and they do it all. He is such a hoot when he gets in his "crazy" mode; racing around the house, throwing toys in the air, jumping on Troy and wrestling. A good, good dog.
Now with Troy - I have to say this is one of the best puppies I have ever fostered. He is so eager to please you, doesn't do any of the naughty things pups are inclined to do. When RJ was a puppy, I was down to one pair of shoes! Troy doesn't chew anything but his toys, is learning to play fetch, and ( I wouldn't say any dog this age is 100% housebroken) he is a 98%. I am one of the old fashion people who don't crate - and it isn't a problem with Troy. If I am gone a couple hours, we go out the minute I get home, and there is no question he has stored it up! He is very playful, yet calm, not at all hyper. He gets along very well with the other dogs, respectful of the elders who don't want to play, but wrestles and tumbles with those that will. This is a puppy that when he finds his forever home, I am going to truly miss.
